I've never been more terrified by a working codebase than now. Because for as much as it works it's filled with workaround and extra steps which make it look more broken than it should work in the first place

Perhaps it's like a code jenga tower :)
If you look at is as a game of "just don't break it" maybe it will just work. Otherwise: Pray to the programming gods...
